Don
Dodds and his two younger brothers are sons
of West Indian missionaries and had the good fortune
of traveling the world and interacting with various
cultures at an early age. Their father, Dr. J.
Evans Dodds, is a retired Methodist Minister now
doing missionary work with their mother a retired
Registered Nurse.
Dodds started his first informal business at age
13. At 16, he entered Howard University as a pre-med
student in a 6 year accelerated program. In his
senior year Dodds began devoting his energies
to the spirit of entrepreneurship.
For the last ten years, he has devoted much of
his time to mentoring others. With expertise in
Real Estate, Finance, Mentoring and Marketing,
Dodds' "problem solver" (turn a problem
into an opportunity) business philosophy has enabled
him to help build 2 successful businesses by clearly
defining and executing business objectives and
operational functions.
On December 6th, 2008 at 3:00 am God gave Don
a vision to create a music project as a tool to
be used to save souls. Using music as the vehicle
to deliver the message that Jesus is the way,
the truth and the light Dodds maintains a clear
message with every song. The first song from the
album is a high energy, driving beat that invites
the listener to be unashamed of Jesus and "praise
his name". "Jesus Jump" is a celebration
for everyone, young and old, to jump for Jesus.
The project remains Biblically pure but it is
culturally relevant utilizing stories about everyday
people with everyday blessings and challenges
who need an everyday, on time God.
Dodds is an avid reader, and enjoys time with
his family, writing, weight training and racquetball.
